The full-day excursion brought together local and international graduate students to explore Thailand’s rich historical heritage, foster cross-cultural connections, and enjoy a meaningful break from their academic studies. The journey commenced early in the morning at the Faculty of Medicine, where students gathered in front of the Ananda Mahidol Building for registration and breakfast before departing by bus. Upon arriving in Ayutthaya, the group spent the morning admiring the grand architecture and picturesque grounds of the historic Bang Pa-In Royal Palace. Midday was marked by a traditional group lunch at Ruen Thai Kung Pao, where participants enjoyed famous local dishes while taking in the scenic river views. In the afternoon, the excursion continued through Ayutthaya’s UNESCO World Heritage historical sites. Students explored the iconic temple ruins of Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Mahathat, and Wat Phra Si Sanphet, deepening their appreciation of Thai history and culture. The historical portion of the tour was followed by a visit to the Wihan Mongkhon Bophit Market, where students sampled local delicacies and shopped for traditional handicrafts. The trip proceeded safely and seamlessly with full cooperation from all participants and group leaders. The bus safely returned to the Faculty of Medicine, where boxed dinners were distributed to round off a successful outing. Graduate Affairs extends its sincere gratitude to all students, faculty members, and staff coordinators who contributed to making this event a safe, educational, and memorable experience.
