On January 17, 2025, the Medical Sciences Program, in collaboration with BGI, hosted a highly successful seminar titled AI for Omics: Read, Learn, and Evolve at the Kampeeravej Room, School of Global Health, MDCU.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Meng Yang, Executive Vice President of R&D at MGI Tech, captivated the audience with his expert insights into the integration of AI and omics data science. Drawing from over nine years of experience, Dr. Yang highlighted his innovative work in LLM-based lab automation, next-generation sequencing technologies, and fully automated imaging systems.
